Searching for the heart of Cardiff

Cardiff Projects and Cardiff Psychogeographers announce a group investigation:

Meet on 10 May 11am outside the School of Art and Design, University of Wales Institute, Cardiff, Howard Gardens, Cardiff, Wales, UK.

This event involves traversing the city in groups of three in a search for the centre, or heart of the city. No specific algorithm will be applied for the derive (i.e. 2nd left 3rd right 1st left).

The definition of the search for the heart of the city is reliant on personal interpretation of the urban environment as it is found by each person involved. Centres of attraction will differ.

To place this project in context Tim Long has written an essay titled 'City as Body', read it on the Cardiff Projects website.

This search coincides with the psy-geo-conflux taking place in New York, May 8-11.
